I think I know what I want and that's the only thing I really want. The only happiness I can't buy with money. Just being in his presence made me happy.
I wish I'm less gay. Oh well.

Avril Lavigne Concert in KL 2012 [Black Star Tour]
We had very nice view of Kl where were were standing but as you can see the stage is ridiculously placed. I know that by getting the cheapest tickets, I can't expect to see much but this is beyond that. I've been to many concerts and the last time I got the cheapest ticket (for free) was Maroon 5's concert. And I still could see so much more.
Well, that doesn't mean the concert sucked. It wasn't bad at all actually. It was raining but it did not dampened every's spirit. I ended up standing the whole time. There weren't any seats left and we probably won't see anything at all if we sat down.
Yup when the concert started. All I can see is lights! Even the screen didn't help. I can barely make out Avril's face from the screen.
Lucky I wore these shoes! They're so pretty and comfortable. Love them!

At the end of the concert, the organizers released heart shaped balloons. It was cheesy but it was quite a magical moment. Everyone got so distracted!

I didn't take too many pictures for this concert. It'll be pointless. However, I did video the whole thing. It was 44 minutes long but I've edited it and kept only the important parts.
Enjoy!

Where were you on Valentine's Day?
I spent my Valentine's most unexpectedly this year. In fact, many unexpected thing happened this year. It's only February. Lol
So beginning of this year, I went to the temple and met a fortune teller who told me that I'll not be #foreveralone and that I was meant to marry late. They usually do the yearly review about everything in your life during Chinese New Year. I guess I got a value added "advice" this time. That probably explained why my engagement didn't work out in my last relationship, if you believe in these sort of things. I was never a believer. In fact, he wasn't the first "fortune teller" who told me so. I was told by at least 3 fortune tellers that I'm meant to marry late. How late? I don't know.
Oh well. I thought I won't be receiving flowers this year. And then Yuen came back to the office with daisies for everyone. Love you Panda. That was really thoughtful. Sometimes I wish I can be a little more thoughtful than that. I'm jussttttt not! :D
It was pretty. I chose the yellow one!
Rachel shared 1/8 of her cupcakes Valentine's gift with me. It was so pretty, I didn't eat it until 2 hours later. It was yummy. Thanks woman!
And then I went for lunch with some of the Nuffies. I received a BBM from Karen telling me I've got a package for me. I was surprised. Cracked my head thinking who it could be from since I haven't got any romantic interest lately.
99 stalks of Roses + Ferrero Rochers
It was from my ex. My first long-term relationship when I was 17/18 years old. Someone I haven't seen for 6-7 years. We broke up after 3 years together. It was really strange. It was a super awkward moment when I had to reveal who it was from to the girls who've already surrounded me by then.
Nonetheless, like every other girl, I took a picture with my gift. I was asked to look less awkward. I can't help it okay? I just can't. Hi Nens.
I love this Cotton On dress. I looked slim wearing it!
We were supposed to have Korean food on Valentine's Day. But when we got there, the queue was ridiculously long. So, we decided to go have BKT instead. It was still fun and very much cheaper.
I'm still thinking about my Kimchi jigae even though I'm not feeling too well today. I'm on sick leave, so I guess they are having Korean without me right now. Boo!
8 happy and single people. Although, some of them did hoped that they didn't need to do this again on the next Valentine's Day. Haha! Sometimes I'm not sure if I want to share this day with one person. Wouldn't it be better to share the love?
At least we went to the famous BKT restaurant next to Scott Garden. Food was good. I saw plenty of couples there too! Hahaha! Maybe it's only Tuesday to some people.
We went for drinks after a super satisfying meal. Karen and I bought Pinky and Yuen a heart shaped balloon and a rainbow fan!
And that's me trying out the Colour Accent function in my Canon.
Happy Belated Valentine's Day everyone!
PS: Once again, I would like to congratulate Tim, Hock Lai, Sara and Wendy on their engagement! Can't wait till your weddings! :) :) :)
I've got a Valentine's Video as well but I didn't manage to save it before my laptop restarted itself. So I'm gonna have to start all over again. Maybe in my next post k!

DG Smart Plan and my Android Phone
As you guys know by now, I love making videos. From filming to editing. Although I'm still pretty much an amateur when it comes to editing my videos, I can see myself improving in each video as time passes by.
I'm a busy woman. Always on the go and I need a gadget that does it all. From work to play. I need to be always in touch with my friends and family. And most importantly, my boss. I need to ALWAYS be reachable. And I can't do that without a smartphone/tablet AND a great telco.
My favourite Android phone at the moment is the Samsung GALAXY Nexus which runs on the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Sounds yummy doesn't it? It's not food dude. It's the latest Android platform for smartphones and tablets. YAY!
After owning a Samsung 7.0 Tab, I've fallen in love with Android. I own an iPhone and a Blackberry but somehow, Android devices seems to the best of both worlds.
Don't know what this means?
No?
The good new is that DiGi will be holding a Fandroid Day workshop and they will be offering 35 DiGi Super Bloggers the opportunity to fully savour its scrumptious flavours! Besides learning more about the exciting capabilities of the Ice Cream Sandwich, also check out the latest Android devices available with DiGi, and learn more about DiGi’s network modernization project. The details of the workshop are as given below:
I can't stress more about the awesomeness of Android Devices, so why don't you come and join me for some great time at D'House! I attended the DiGi Done Right Camp last year, so I'm pretty sure the Fandroid Day is going to be smashing! :D

My Pet Starfish - Dorothy
Yesterday marked the day of my grandpa and ma finally together after 17 years apart. They were buried next to each other.
The whole family were so emotional when saying our final goodbyes to him. I think I was torn in between tears and relief knowing that he's in a better place now. He told his nurse a few days before he passed away that he's going to somewhere cold and beautiful. I think he knows that he's going to heaven. He told the maids that he's going to sleep at 6 something in the evening. He lasted till 7 plus before taking his last breath. I'm so proud of him.
During CNY, we weren't expecting many guests as it's a taboo to attend funerals during CNY. Mostly for people who 'pantang' and gambles. We really appreciate the people that came by anyway. People who didn't, we totally understand why you can't.
The 4 generation of Wongs is enough to fill up the whole bungalow. It hardly felt like a quiet funeral.
Thanks again for all your kind wishes.
On a happier note, I found a picture of my pet starfish when I was living in the UK. Her name was Dorothy. I'm not sure if she's still alive now. I left her with my ex. I mean, how do I exactly transport her back to Malaysia with me? Salty fish tanks are hard to maintain.
Say hi to Dorothy everyone! :)

He Was A Fighter
My grandpa just passed a way a few hours ago. He's the last grand parent I have.
I stayed with him when I was little. So, I think I know a lot about him. Well, in my own way at least. Up till my parents separated and we drifted apart, I was pretty close to him when I was still living with him. My grandpa is the strongest man I know. Here's what I remember about him:

- One of the most hardworking people I know.
- He was the healthiest person I know (up till beginning of last year).
- He easily do a 100 sit-ups a day before his legs failed on him. Who does that? Even my dad doesn't do that. He had abs for as far as I can remember.
- He jogs around his big house in his singlet and boxers every single morning since my existence.
- He loves gardening. He planted rambutan and mango trees in the garden of his bangalow (please bear in mind that he lives in the heart of PJ). His house was like a mini jungle - in the city.
- He always eat those colourful little jellies and Popsicle after gardening. That made me a happy kid cos his fridge is forever loaded with all these goodies.
- He loves goldfish. He dug a little stream around the house (literally one round) for his fishes to swim around. I used to barbeque his goldfishes when I was in primary school.
- He hates eating sweet potatoes.
- He loves to reconstruct his house on his own. So his house looked a little deformed but I must say, he did a pretty decent job for someone who didn't get any training in construction.
- He loves my grandma a lot. I remembered him getting nagged by her day and night yet, he'll never shout at her or be disrespectful even though she's the housewife and he's the breadwinner.
- He's a peaceful person. He doesn't pick fights or nag.
- He's good with his money - I wish I've inherited that part of him. He's really sensible when it comes to that.
Finally, he has reunited with my grandma. I wasn't there to see him take his last breath but my cousin told me that, he fought back every time his heart stopped beating. On the 3rd time, he passed.
He's a fighter. He lasted this long because of his strong-willed personality.
I was brawling when I saw him just now. I couldn't help it. I thought I'd be fine with him leaving us since he's really old now and he will not be suffering any longer. I was wrong.
All the memories of when I was young and he held my hand to take me and my sisters for dinner when parents were at work came back to me. He loves us although, he never says it. He's always the tough guy.
I love you gong, you may not know it and I've never said it to you but please know that I have the biggest respect for you and I'll always remember you at your best. When you were healthy, strong and mighty.
I'm back home now to pack and will be heading back to the office tomorrow morning to hand over my work before attending the mourning/funeral at his house. He wanted a Hokkien funeral, he said that a couple of days ago. I guess he knew he was going to leave us soon. I was told Hokkien funerals last up to 7 days.
I'm happy that everyone went back to see him yesterday and he get to spend CNY with the entire family for one last time.
Thanks for the wishes everyone. This post is for me to remember how I felt at this moment.
My grandpa lived his life to the fullest. He really did.

I went to the Temple : Happy Chinese New Year 2012
Hey Y'all,
The year don't really start till after Chinese New Year does it? Haha!
Well, at least for me. I do not necessary have the most Chinese family traditions, but we do celebrate Chinese New Year to a certain extent.
I was born into a Buddhist family so in my IC I'm a Buddhist. However, a couple of years ago I somehow lost faith and decided that religion is good for nothing. And since then, I don't pray or even believe anymore.
However when I went to Chiang Mai for my company trip few weeks ago, I decided that hey we should totally visit the temple. And so we did.
It was really spiritual. I never thought that I'd ever want to enter a temple again (not by choice at least) but I did and I was really glad I went there.
It was recommended by the locals and apparently it's one of the best temple in town.
It was huge.
The grand entrance. Everyone need to remove their shoes before entering.
Pinky and me in our sarongs!
Offerings.
All of us looking really tired from the activities and travelling.
We gave offerings and prayed. That's June in the middle.
Monks. Some are alive, some aren't.
Huge Buddha statue.
You're allowed to take photos in the temple, but no flash!
Bath.
The reason why we were in sarongs.
That concludes my trip to the temple. Like I said I'm not religious, but I do believe that Buddhism is more of a way of life than a religion. I believe in karma and doing good things to other people.
I wish all my readers, a Happy Happy Dragon Chinese New Year 2012 and may everyone find long lasting happiness this year! :)
Ball lights I bought from Chiang Mai for only RM9.00! Bargain! Look how pretty it made the sakura tree look!
To those who gamble during this festive season (not that I encourage it), win more!
xoxo,
Mimi Pie
